Virginia's Mathews County

Fishing charters depart from my home waters in Mathews County on the Middle Peninsula of Virginia.  I have spent my life exploring the area and hope you have the opportunity to enjoy this rural region of the Chesapeake Bay.  Charters are strategically based out of two marinas to take advantage of the best fly fishing and light tackle fishing opportunities.

I keep my 24ft Triton LTS Pro bay boat at Queens Creek Marina.  Only a couple miles from where I grew up, this area provides diverse fishing habitat.  Numerous sheltered areas provide protection from wind and waves making for comfortable fishing in most weather conditions.  Nearby waters include Piankatank River, Rappahannock River, Gwynn's Island, Windmill Point, and Fleet's Bay.

My 24ft Shallow Sport Mod-V tunnel hull boat departs from Marina on Davis Creek.  Within reach are the largest shallow water flats found on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay.  Just outside the creek is New Point Comfort Lighthouse and the mouth of Mobjack Bay which includes East, North, Ware, and Severn Rivers.  To the south is Guinea Marsh, York Spit, Goodwin Island, and Poquoson Flats.
